Nancee Swensson
Nancee Swensson has been a licensed real estate professional since 1981. Before joining HOM Real Estate Group, Nancee was an award-winning Top Producer with Prudential Reality and Coldwell Banker for over 20 years. She earned prestigious membership in the Coldwell Banker President's Club and was recognized by Unique Homes Magazine as a "Luxury Real Estate Specialist of Southern California." To what does she attribute her consistent achievement? Simply stated: her mother. At 83, Nancee's mother continues to be one of the top-selling agents in her area, helping people with their home for more than 50 years.
After graduating from the University of Texas, Nancee turned to an aviation career in the 70's. She sold her car, bought a bicycle and an airplane. A pilot since the age of 14 (and soloing at age 16), she learned about determination and commitment at an early age. Nancee's flying service transported physicians to outreach clinics in New Mexico. "In 1976, I flew in the Powder Puff Derby, the world's longest (distance) air race, and the last All-Women's Transcontinental Air Race. My photo, taken during a race, hangs in San Diego's Ruben E. Fleet Aerospace Museum in the 'Women in Aviation' section."
In 1980, Nancee and her family moved to La Jolla. With her characteristic "take charge" approach, she embarked upon a career in real estate. "When I began in the business, interest rates hovered around 19%. Needless to say, it was a buyer's market: more homes for sale than buyers. My experience through difficult markets has honed my professional skills." Always dedicated to her clients, Nancee's grace under pressure and accomplished style of negotiation drive her ongoing success.
